Grindelwald First
Grindelwald First
- or simply First - is the 2,168-m adventure mountain above
Grindelwald in the Jungfrau region. The First Cliff Walk by Tissot
suspension bridge cantilevers off the cliff face, and the summit is
the starting point for the First Flyer zip-line, the First Glider
hang-glider simulator, the Mountain Cart and Trottibike scooter
descents, and a 45-minute hike to the Bachalpsee mountain lake. Both
the
Swiss Travel Pass
and
Swiss Half Fare Card
give 50% off the Firstbahn gondola, while adventure activities are
charged separately. From the same Grindelwald base,
Jungfraujoch
is the classic Top-of-Europe day trip, and the
GoldenPass Express
terminates nearby at Interlaken Ost in the Bernese Oberland.
